With all the things this ConDem Coalition has thrown our way so far, from Child benefit frozen, Incapacity benefit under threat and tighter eligibility criteria, raising the costs of Homecare and taking away the subsidies of Meals on Wheels, we should not be surprised to learn see here that the very roof over our heads could now be time limited or taken from us. Social Housing and Council Housing in particular is the basic form of protection many people have to assure them of a roof over their heads and protection from the elements. Cameron plans to change all of that, more dismantling of the welfare state setting precedences never before seen and ensuring these changes can never be reversed.
The Spending review in late October will map out all the ConDems plans for the next five years and if the last 5 weeks are anything to go by, then working people, vulnerable older and younger people need to react now.
